ilovepie this little track from a group called kinema, just landed in my inbox. still trying to make my mind, up about it. 'my girl' which is an animal collective, cover. can best be described as an electro lo fi (but not as lo fi as the original track) pop track. imagine if you will death cab, if they'd drank that stuff out of... a glow stick. check the track out and help me decide if i like this or not :/

like synths ? like auto tuned vocals ?? looking for a hadouken! fluro replacement, now that they've gone all dub-step ??? well bloody hell i might just have what you've been looking for. i give you mytoybox, an indie purveyor of electro pop goodness, from brighton. taking cues from the likes of hadouken! (pre-dubstep/g...rime phase), la roux, and perhaps even test iceles, sans guitars. anyway go check out mytoybox's myspace for more tuneage and you can also get mytoybox's first single from itunes, do it !!!!

ilovepie it's gotten very grimey in here all of a sudden .... could be something to do with this hadouken! album sampler thats just landed in my inbox. yeah hadouken!'s (is that grammatically correct ?) second album 'for the masses' is due out on 25th january. it's taken the band in a much more grime/drum and bass direction lea...ving behind the fluro electro inspired, tracks that they've been known for. anyway give the sampler and listen and tell us what your thoughts are ?

no it's not a new hannibal film, it's a new single called 'cannibal' from disco pop, lady duo fan death. who previously brought us the perfectly formed disco track 'veronica's veil' and have a new ep on the way. 'a coin for the well' ep is due out at the beginning of january. these two ladies are definitely ones to wat...ch in 2010.

this weeks newbies are i always wanted a pony, with a band name like that it's hard not to like them. and when you couple that with the faint whiff of new romanticism spliced with swedish electro pop, ding ding ding !!!!! ..... winner. the swedish duo of, felix and tobias could easily be the noughties answer to the hum...an league or duran duran, with synthy pop tracks such as 'the weekend' that wouldn't have sounded out of place 25 years ago. give them a listen then go give i always wanted a pony some myspace and twitter love and tell them we sent you ;)

just gotten info about a new don diablo mix-compilation thats due for release next year. it's been described as an overview of what don's, been up to over the last year and looking at the track-listing it's gonna be massive. it includes remixes by cassius, linus love, stereo mc's and original tracks from don diablo him...self. the compilation also includes tracks from tiga, simian mobile disco, fake blood, the prodigy and bloc party. the compilation comes ahead of his debut album 'life is festival'. check out the tracks below, and tell us what you think.

ilovepie so next friday in the uk, is children in need. and to support the charity, a load of people on youtube calling themselves the chartjackers have teamed up to create a single. it's a total cheese fest called 'i've got nothing', but just shows what can be achieved using the power of social networking. the singles availabl...e now on itunes .... lets get this in the charts and hopefully in the process make loads of cash for a worthy cause.

ilovepie just got sent the new video, for two door cinema club's new single 'i can talk'. i featured a pretty cool remix of this track, by french horn rebellion a few days. but now heres the real thing. ilovepie can't say i'm the worlds biggest florence and machine fan, but i'm in love with the xx's remix of florence's 'you've got the love', which is a candi stanton cover. with its haunting, lyrics and down beat drum and bass style. it's definitely a track you need on your ipod this week.
