Born from a hatred of responsibility and butt loads o' talent, Joe Raciti and the Pure Premium formed in 2007 and quickly rose up through the New York City music scene. Playing their first gig at the then legendary (now closed) venue "Mo Pitkin's House of Satisfaction" to a full house, and never looking back, the band has torn through such renown venues as "Rockwood Music Hall," "Sidewalk Cafe" and "Googies Lounge" - venues that have launched the careers of Regina Spektor, Jeff Buckley, Nora Jones and the Moldy Peaches.

Having been briefly obsessed with the Spitzer fiasco, the band decided to host their music on the fast-growing file sharing site "AmieStreet.com" and their songs quickly rose in popularity as the bands profile floated to the top of the buzzing music index on the site's main page (a handful of slots below American Idol Kady Malloy.)

No one knows where the band is headed next, but everyone who has heard Joe Raciti and the Pure Premium knows the general direction of the bands trajectory; straight up.
