justiceandcare Another outcome from this training would be the development of a handbook for police officers by Justice and Care to be handed over free of cost to them so that they have the latest law, case laws and procedures when they deal with measures to protect vulnerable children and women in their daily work.

justiceandcare Two owners have been arrested under stringent provisions of local penal laws and anti-bonded labour laws. The boys in the books of accounts of the perpetrator were just paid Rs 500 (6-7 pounds) per month for 16 hrs back breaking work per day.
justiceandcare One of the trafficked boys told us that the owner/trafficker told him that he would educate him well and allow him to play and get him a good education if he came along. As always this was just a trick to lure the boy by the trafficker.

justiceandcare Justice & Care rescued a 17 year old girl and a 20 yr old girl early Friday 4th dec,09 morning from the Sex trade in Bangalore, India. The minor girl was trafficked from Mumbai (Bombay) to Bangalore on the pretext of a job and sold into the sex trade. The 20 yr old girl was trafficked from a rural part of Karnataka to Bangalore and sold into the sex trade.
justiceandcare The main buyer of the minor girl a brothel Keeper called Ms Shanti Thapa has been charged and arrested under Penal & anti-trafficking law. We are working hard with the police to trace the trafficker, her sister, prosecute the perpetrator and secure the future of the rescued girl.

The 17 yr old girl was sold with her younger sister by a trafficker into the sex trade. They were reported missing by their parents from west Bengal from the 13th of November, 2009.
