kcICON Project The Kansas City Star had an article today on our I-29/35 and Front Street bypass. Please remember: when driving through our work zone obey posted speed limits. If you would rather avoid construction delays altogether, alternative river crossings are another option you may want to consider. Thanks!

This lane closure made the backup yesterday due to the overturned tanker when everyone was being forced off Armour Road SO MUCH WORSE. Where was MoDOT to open this lane and to open the other lanes on the Armour Road exit (which are currently blocked off by cones)? Tens of thousands of cars having to funnel down to one lane to exit was ridiculous, particularly when the new ramp had 3 lanes which could have been utilized to help alleviate the backup.

Hello Mike: The current two-lane configuration is not permanent. This is going to be the configuration as long as we have work going on across the new Armour Rd. bridge. We will be shifting work to the left side of the SB lanes in the next construction phase. The lane drop will continue to be in effect during this time.
