i am excited that i was able to create my own blend.however I am a novice and a bit intimidated at the thought of tiling for the first time.Any suggestions regarding a kitchen backsplash using Brio would be welcome.

Kimberly Dodge Pettit I posted yest. about a "peel & stick" tile mount product, wondering whether anyone had tried it with Brio tiles? A friend of mine found it at one of the big box stores and used it to mount 4x4 stone tiles & accent mosaics for a backsplash and said it worked great. But I'm a little nervous. Am going to try it today on mockups...

Hi Kimberly, thanks for your post. We really recommend that our customers install Brio tile by using a modified latex thin set and grout (both sanded and unsanded grout are suitable). You can see our complete installation instructions by following this link: http://www.ctioa.org/reports/fr93.html

Not convinced. The instructions say that you can use it for mesh-mounted tiles as long as some of the sticky stuff squeezes through the mesh, but for the couple of samples with mesh backing, it seems like the mesh (and the grout) is the only thing holding the tile on. And the paper-faced Brio tiles definitely won't work with this product, IMO - the... See More tiles are too small to match up well with the grid of blobs of the sticky stuff. I think it might work with larger tiles (my friends used it with 2x2 & 4x4 stone tile), but for the small mosaics, I'm going to stick with thin set.

Judy Wiley Anyone have any tips for a DYIer putting up vanilla matte pennyround for a backsplash? I already tried once and took it down before I ruined all the tile. I can't get the spacing right between the sheets ...??? Have tiled before, but was a shower with 4x4 field tile.
