Kimberly i work for a kitchen and bath design company. I know you all work with those with different types of needs. Do you ever have patients looking to modify their homes to make it more accommodating for day to day life? i.e wheelchair accessable Who would one go to if they needed help modifying their house? Would they a...sk and OT for a reference or is there an organization that I should contact. Once families find they are faced with caring for a child in a wheelchair or other disability how do they go about getting help with making changes in the day to day HOME environment? I would love some input/direction. Thanks!
Mollie Michelle Verdier Has anyone checked out the new online social community for Special needs children, their parents and all professionals. It is called Therapals.com. Lots of online animated Sensory Activities for children. It has a unique matching program that pairs kids up to other children across the country to find their best friend... based upon what is in their bio. Same goes for their parents and for us professionals. It launches in December. They are on Facebook!
Marie I work for a Rehab Company in southern CA. Where are all the OT's and COTA's? We hire on average 56 employees a year, but none of them are OT or COTA because we can't find them :( I know alot of them are in the school system or SNF. Does anyone find that the preference is that they prefer that setting over Acute hospital Settings?
