save911.org An awesome article in the Columbia Missourian about the state of Missouri's 911 system. Check it out and send it to all your friends.

Missouri's 911 service directors are stretched thin with smaller budgets and bigger workloads. Legislation that would increase funds failed in the Senate last year, but the directors are determined to try again.

Dan Barnett Feedback from those who attended yesterday's hearing on SB966 is not good. EVERYONE needs to be contacting their Senators, especially if they are on the Commerce Committee, to let them know how important 911 is to YOU!

If Brad Lager, Kurt Schaefer, Matt Bartle, Tom Dempsey, John Griesheimer, Jim Lembke, Luann Ridgeway, Joan Bray, Tim Green, or Jolie Justus is your Senator contact them today. Don't wait! Rhonda Strong Wiley To all my friends on FB I encourage you to read about SB 966 and let you State Senators/Representatives know how you feel about 911. To my friends with family and friends in Douglas County without 911, this could potentially be the funding mechanism the county needs to establish 911! Go BEARS!

        • save911.org Its counties like Douglas, and its southern neighbor Ozark, that will benefit the most from SB966. It our goal for every county in Missouri to have 911. Someone who needs immediate emergency help shouldn't have to look in the phone book for a 7 or 10 digit number.

save911.org We are currently supporting Missouri Senate Bill 966. Which is legislation to provide 911 centers with money collected through cell phone providers. If you feel 911 is important, please call your Senator and tell them you support SB 966.
