Get a sense of what other authors are doing. Find out if my decision to ad-lib an intro and then read a five-minute passage from Bill Talbert’s tale would be wise. I had the whole presentation whittled to 11 of my allotted 15 minutes. ...

I know some of you have seen these interviews before, but I've got a new writing job and decided to give Mark some local time. I liked his book and the interview.
If you would please come over and support Mark. If you've read the book a few comments would be great either on this post or on one of the next two.

Mark R. McCallum Seeking suggestions on the best chapter to read aloud if I'm given the chance at the Bookfest. I'm leaning toward the early chapters describing Landfalls Creek (C3), telling Bill Talbert's tale (C5) or the introduction to Old Coals (C10).

We're scheduled for a book signing Sept. 6 from 3:30-3:45pm at the Decatur Book Festivall in Decatur, Ga. We're part of the Emerging Writers platform.
Not sure if we're scheduled for a 10-minute discussion of the book but like the idea that they use Bookzilla as a mascot and I have a Bobzilla reference in the novel.

Cherith Stoner from South Carolina finished the novel in six hours on a recent trip. Her husband said she was so engrossed in the story that she didn't notice he'd taken her picture.
It's a great read for the beach, but I'm not so sure about a camping trip. Not with the woods and all.

Mark R. McCallum Got a book signing tentatively scheduled for Presbyterian College's Homecoming on Oct. 24. Be there with other Blue Hose authors.
