i absolutely LOVE what claudia mair burney can do with words. this short story is, in part, an allusion to the conversation between the ancient hebrew king solomon and GOD (I Kings 3:5, 7-12). yet it is very much a contemporary conversation as well. it is a must read! Part 1 & 2
russell rathbun has contributed our first serial piece to the e2c column. it's a psychological mystery about political involvement. it plays with the pun of the biblical text and text messaging. clever indeed. rathbun has a great wry wit. check it out: pt 1 & pt 2.

dan recently said this about the piece, "yes, the sound of the song is intentional. I put the vocals in the back on purpose as to make the lyrics ambiguous. i'm influenced by wall-of-sound aesthetic akin to My Bloody Valentine.

this is a poem by Lisa Samson. it is amazingly haunting. may it implicate us all.
