Fun, stylish and elaborate on details. Colin & Eunice's wedding was fashion-themed complete with dressed-up mannequins, busts of Greek gods and other things that would certainly not look out of place in the Asian Civilization Museum. Eunice's was dressed in a beautifully embroidered kebaya during the tea ceremony that... somehow adds a unique touch and complements the concept of "Asian civilization" really well.

If you're a fan of Tiffany & Co, you're gonna love what Howard & Michelle did for their wedding. The whole wedding was Tiffany themed with turquoise blue, a color famously known as the Tiffany Blue. Everything from the bridesmaid's dresses, the groomsmen's scarf, invitation cards and even the video montage and online ...gallery background (yes, I had to conform to the color code too) must be in the famous shade of blue.

I met Alvin way back about 2 years ago at Joshua & Jez's wedding and I'm glad that he still remembered me and the photographs I've taken. Met many familiar faces although I couldn't really put a name to a face but for some reason they seem to be able to recall who I was.

My first meeting with Maria was just a few days prior to her wedding as she is based out of Singapore and as for Simon, the first time I met him was on the wedding day itself. Prior to that, we only communicated via email and occasional text messaging. While I always prefer meeting a person face-to-face, sometimes it's... difficult more so when we are all living in different parts of the world. This would be my first wedding in Asian Civilization Museum after two years and coincidentally I had yet another a week after Simon & Maria's wedding. It is funny how you don't go to a place for a while and when you do, you keep coming back for consecutive weeks.

This shoot was done back in mid October 2009 but wasn't published because Wendy wanted to keep it a surprise as some of her friends are "fans" of thegaleria (how nice is that). As much as it was an exciting trip for Samuel & Wendy, it was equally as exciting for me as I've not been back to my home country for many year...s. The last time I was in Cameron Highlands was when I was an 18 year old boy. For me, the trip was more nostalgic than anything else as it was a little like walking down memory lane.

My, have the trees really grown. The last time I was at Flutes at Fort Canning, the trees barely had any branches let alone leaves and the sun could shine right through. It seems a little more shady now. More comfortable to be outdoors but photographically challenging as the leaves are casting shades of uneven shadows.... I had to use both my continuous lights to provide some fill lights to even out the shadows. Nevertheless, a simple and intimate wedding with company of close friends. I love weddings this way :)

thegaleria Steven & Charissa's Pour l'eternite calendar is featured in the Dec 2009-Feb 2010 issue of Her World Brides. The calendar featured some of their favorites photos taken in Paris along with witty quotes told by them in a love story fashion. I still have 20 of those calendars left, so for those who are keen to get a hold ...of one, drop me a note and I'll even mail it to you. On one condition though - display them like how you would with your favorite photos and do not keep it in your storeroom. Steven, Charissa and myself would be very disappointed if you do that.
