Levant, Wigmore Street, London - service has really gone down the drain lately.
I have been going to this restaurant for nearly 6 years but lately the service has really deteriorated. Yesterday our large group was booked in Dar Arezki (alcove) but we were given a table in noisy back corner constantly bumping into rushin...g waiters in and out of kitchen. Instead of apologising the hostess at door was rude and kept telling me to sort it out with toptables - and kept refusing to let me speak with manager.
I fondly remember that in earlier days, the starters were a large selection of 5 - 6 variety - babaganush/tangy salad/raw veggies/grilled halaumi/falafel with a selection of breads. This time - just 2 or 3 varieties. The ambience was great as ever and belly dancers were great and wine very good. But the poor service and rude impersonal treatment left a very poor taste in my mouth.

Rob It's a good thing TT send reminder emails when reward points are due to expire. Received one on 29/11 & so followed the link to redeem them & booked a participating restaurant. There was no sign of the points deduction so I emailed twice without reply. I then called & was informed no restaurants accept this redemption ...scheme in Dec! If so, why send the reminder in Nov/Dec? Why not state this on the website or send reminders sooner? TT have agreed to reinstate the points lost which is much appreciated :o)
