I go for committing us...I was outside in my bare feet this morning trying to get some photos of two beautiful wild tom turkeys. Why was I in my bare feet? Because I saw the shot I wanted out my window and I didn't have time to grab my shoes and socks. It was in the low 30's...but at least there was no snow. Look forward to your pics, Leon.

waterfallswest.com Beautiful sunset at Palouse Falls tonight and we were the only ones to enjoy it. The falls were really flowing well too!

I initially thought I would go up to Lake Tahoe for sunrise and I was all set on doing that. However, on my way back home Friday night from Cameron Park, I noticed it was very foggy, especially in Cameron Park. ...

waterfallswest.com My sunrise shot did not pan out this morning but I did get to a waterfall. Pic coming.

waterfallswest.com From my recent snowshoe to Bassi Falls

waterfallswest.com
After my long snowshoe hike into Bassi Falls, I trudged down the road from my car to the bridge, and slipped on down to the creek to get a shot of half frozen Bassi Creek surrounded by winter snowy goodness.

Daniel Gonzales

Daniel Gonzales Hey Leon new to your page but love your pics. Wanted to know if you have any suggestions for a hike this saturday. I live in northern cali (chico) and would love to go after all the rain we just got. Went to lower battle creek about two weeks ago. Thought it was cool.

Nice shot of Battle Creek. That'll be snowed in pretty soon. Suggest perhaps Feather Falls or Seven Falls. Those should be good right now.

This is easy Bridal Veil Falls, located right alongside Hwy 50 on the way up to Lake Tahoe. Normally, I do not stop at this waterfall. It is too easy to get to, plus the traffic whizzing by so closely at 80mph kinda freaks me out. ...

Nice Leon .. I saw these falls as well but had the same thought, too close to the fast moving traffic. Well captured ...

If you get to these falls when the fog is near,,, there is a bridal veil that will emerge around them,, when I was kid and we were going from Auburn to South Lake, sometimes we would see the veil, and also there would be Angels floating above the road,, from the heat the salt that was used to melt the snow/ice, would create,,, and it was this time of year that we would see them,,,
