Allerdale Borough Council Allerdale Borough Council’s Chief Executive has welcomed confirmation of the Government’s support for flood recovery work. Speaking in the House of Commons today during Prime Minister's Questions, Gordon Brown paid tribute to the work of the emergency services during the floods and said that he hoped a temporary bridge... could be in place "fairly quickly".
