- Backyard started as a sound system by myself (Desmond Antoine) playing all over the houston area in early 2002 and through the love of music we had to take it a step further Backyardsounds.com was then created in 2006 with the launch of its website www.backyardsounds.com The internet station features a live DJ every day of the week carrying out the function of providing the fans with entertaining, inspiring music.

- Backyard Sounds is a non-commercial member supported internet radio station dedicated to connecting Dominicans and friends of Dominicans all over the world through unique, high quality music, performance and public affairs programming that informs, educates, entertains and inspires. We inform our local communities around the world by providing an accessible, modern, forum for many voices. VISION Backyard Sounds will be known for its superior quality in music selection and programming . We reflect the distinctive qualities of our country Dominica and operate in efficient and sustainable ways. OUR GOALS To provide a coordinated team approach to quality programming To provide a broad base of entertaining music to our fans To provide local music to Dominicans and friends of Dominicans living all over the world.
