Seeing Nina's picture below made me want to share a story, as we head into the holidays. That Hallmark radio Christmas ornament is one of my favorites on our tree -- a tree that has roughly 30 years of family memories and Hallmark ornaments from across the years. Regarding the radio ornament, my Dad was a DJ for sever...al years and I have several friends in the radio business, besides lots of radio memories of my own. My disc jockey friends all own the ornament too and it's a huge fan favorite of all their kids! For me, I love seeing how the keepsake ornaments have evolved, over the years. My ultimate favorite of recent ornament purchases, however, has to be the shell with the pearl ornament that we bought last year to honor Dad's memory on the tree. Okay HMK, here's a dead serious question AND the reason that I found you guys! I purchased a "Hallmark First-Year Memory Book" for my son (before he was born) about 2 years ago. Almost immediately afterwards, I thought...shoot I should have bough 3 or 4 more for all the kids I plan to have. SO, I returned to the sto...re... Apparently they had sold out and weren't ordering more. I decided I try to find them online, and ended up on Hallmarks site. In the meantime, I saw the contests...and got TOTALLY sidetracked! Here I am 2 years later, and completely crying over the fact that Baby #2 (3,4,&5) won't have matching albums. It's an ALBUM that I LOVE!!!!!! Okay, to the point...do you guys think you could find a couple extra hiding out somewhere in your offices? It's a an offwhite with polkadots on the left "Fresh From Heaven" on the front with a little cross... I have searched EBAY, HALLMARK, CRAIGSLIST...Read More

Helloooo all! I am back from my pet bed shelter mission! SUCCESS!! At the Wausau Marathon shelter I walked in with two beds and asked them if they would accept bed donations and they said yes, so I handed them the two and said I had a few more in the car....I made 5 trips!! I wish you could have seen their faces! As t...hey gave each cat ( and other critters!) a new bed in each cage I visited with all the animals..it was all I could do to keep from adopting another cat or dog...my heart was breaking to see so many in cages! But talk about a well kept and equipped shelter...they are all lucky animals indeed to have a safe home there!It only took the ferret 2 seconds to make his new bed comfy.!

Yep a very good day indeed. I had a job offer on the answering machine when i got home too ..I got my birthday wish!Thanks to all of you who wished me Happy Birthday! WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!My only bummer was that my camera died at the last shelter, but believe me they were just as happy to get the beds!Read More
