he is gorgeous! he looks like an add for "birdie num nums" holding the crunchie out like that!!
any one have any ideas on how to fix up a baby sock into a budgie sweater? if i cut it, the "neck" and "wing" areas are going to unravel. need an idea on how to keep that from happening.

Oh also I make flyers for a cat rescue and post them on craigslist to get them adopted faster and it helps get them publicity. Would you like me to make flyers for the parrots on the website and post them up on craigslist?

sometimes the best we can do is to be sure the parrot is not alone.
My small flock has 2 mated pairs, 1 buddy pair and a couple of singles that also need the small flock or other parrots around.
If i could properly provide for another pair, i would take them in.

friends of mine , rescue them . ... They are currently full with 48 big parrots ..... Mostly Cockatoos ..... General pet stores should not be able to sell them and specialty bird stores should make people take a class before allowing purchase of these magnificent birds.... It is so sad how many are re homed over and over again. ... I am the 4th home for my cockatoo . & the last , I will never give him away , he's like one of my children!

Doc’s Back and Dancin Again
Even with all the love and nurturing that his foster mom gave him Doc once again retreated to the back of his cage. The tough decision was made to bring him back to Parrots First. He is doing well, dancing and talking again. Doc will definetley need a sponsor as he does not seem to want to leave.

I once rescued 3 parrots, (1 OWA, 1 CAG, 1 Lovebird) from a yard sale. Yes, I had to pay the ransom, but it was so worth it. The Amazon is the love of my life, and I found good homes for the Grey and Lovebird.

Sharon and Ozzy are two macaws that are currently living at Parrots FirstHQ. Sharon camt to us with a beak that was poking in to her chest from it's length and rubbed raw to the bone. Sharon had nothing to do and occupied her time by running her beak up and down her cage bars. Sharon has been groomed and her beak is... on the mend. She is currently going through 2 large wooden macaw toys per week plus other softre chew toys.
Any donations towards her toys or toys themselves would be sooo appreciated.

I really wish I could foster but have a ton on my plate, I may be able to squeeze in some volunteer time cleaning, grooming or socializing if needed though. I can try to come by next week if possible, how can I go about setting something up?

You all met JoJo Saturday when I posted his picture. Today I want you to meet Chevi... a little Chevron Wing Parakeet that broke his wing and came here to mend and learn how to fly again. Unfortunately little Chevi can't fly well enough to be released but he is enjoying living in an aviary at Parrots First HQ.

Meet JoJo....
Jojo was found wandering the streets of Torrance, malnourished and dehydrated. Animal Control took him to an emergency clinic to have him put down. We were told we had 3 hours to get him...
Luckily for JoJo traffic was not too bad on the 405 that day.
We took JoJo to our vet, Dr Attila Molnar, and he treate...d JoJo, they hand fed him for a few days till he could eat on his own.
