Children, tweens and teens met three award winning authors of books for young people: Jerry Spinelli, author of Maniac Magee and Stargirl; Patrick Carman, creator of the Land of Elyon and the Atherton series, and James Patterson, author of the Maximum Ride and Daniel X series.
Palm Beach County Library System To celebrate Families Reading Together, the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary brought the natural environment to our branches! Their unique wildlife program featured live animals including some of the following creatures: alligators, crocodiles, hawks, owls, snakes, skunks, opossums, and more. Children learned about the natural... history of the animals, Florida’s ecology, food chains, and endangered species.
