Keep the Public in "Public Process"
The Fauquier Board is considering an extremely harmful change to the rezoning process, one that would allow previously approved proffers to be amended without notice, deleting public input from the equation.
If the Board moves forward with this change, conditions originally imposed to protect you--such as stoplights, road improvements, cash proffers, and conditions related to hours of operation, screening, buffers, height, and noise-- could all be eliminated without public notice or comment.
Please take a moment to email the Board and urge them to vote against this harmful code.
Learn about the Route 29 Corridor Blueprint
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has just released a preliminary blueprint for the Rt. 29 Corridor. If adopted, the blueprint would form the basis for future transportation decisions along the corridor. While some of VDOT's preliminary recommendations have merit, others would, if built, fuel even more of the low density sprawl that has created transportation problems in the first place.
