President Préval has presented Mr. Mulet with "L’ordre National - Honneur et Mérite", in recognition of the UN's assistance to the victims of the earthquake. Mr Mulet said the recognition 'should encourage us to continue our tireless efforts to assist with the stabilization and reconstruction efforts of Haiti. It is also a renewed tribute to our fallen colleagues, with whom our thoughts remain.'

With the most sincere and dedicated approach only the President would be able to address any such efforts, while it is entirely on the part of all respective staffs, agencies and organizations vis-à-vis how far they can stand on these quest...ions or prove their credibility while continuing such tireless efforts. May God bless him to achieve his missions in all parts of this world where trillions of money has been or being spent at the cost of the well living of entire generous American people? See More

      • Yvrose Gilles I'm also concerned about the report that Dominican troops will now become part of Minustah. This is the worst news I've heard. Haitians will now consider their country occupied by the enemy. This can only lead to chaos instead of stability.

      • Daniel De Sutter I am NOT concerned about the report that Dominican troops will now become part of MINUSTAH. Helping one another is a very good way of and building trust and reconciliation. One can only assume that helping Haiti now is better than 10 years from now or never.
