      • Corey Dennison Cool. Hey, do you think you could make a video to let people know what it's like to have our pockets picked by the government to pay for insurance for those who are here illegally, or those who are too irresponsible to bother paying for their own insurance? That would be awesome! Cuz we're tired of the misinformation from the President, and seeing folks not caring about who's money they take.

      • Kenneth Thomas i have asked those in those soicalist countries - funny how they seem to live longer than us in the US.

      • Red State Any way you look at it - this bill will lead to rationing of care. It is not fair to ask all of the people that play by the rules and work hard to foot the bill of those in society that won't just to make you liberals feel good about yourselves. We all agree that the TRULY needy need care. Not crackheads.

      • Kenneth Thomas well, i thought this was a christian nation - well, except when it comes to taking care of each other. i wonder what jesus would think about this?

      • Amy Abrisch I think He would say, kick Obama out of the white house and get a Christian in. Then we could really take care of people.

      • Kenneth Thomas hence, my repeated phrase "working americans." the more sick people there are, the less working americans there are.

      • Michael Udesky I see what Corey's saying -- I don't like all this big gov't either...but I hate to admit it, but this link kind of makes sense to me. Gonna chew on this a while. (Just trying to keep an open mind.)

      • Michael Udesky I'm not sure I know what this guy's views are or what he's up to -- but I wanna know the facts. Not sure if his are accurate so I'm gonna look into it myself and report later. Ronald, help me out -- which statistics do you see are inaccurate? I'm on this now -- for my family and for my community.

Totally sympathetic to the speaker's dilemma with the pre-existing condition. However, there's significant difficulty with the lack of specificity about the numbers he cites. 50 million uninsured? Really? But why?? People like me who h...ave changed jobs and moved from one employer's health plan to ;12-20 million illegal immigrants who use emergency rooms as their health care insurers taxing hospital emergency rooms for everything from car accident injuries to strep tests; 10+ million we know are qualified for existing programs, but who have never applied for those benefits. There are also a similar number who are making in excess of 80K per year, but who have not opted to take part in employer-offered insurance plans. The solution to pre-existing conditions is the highest priority for many of us. Let's buy those people insurance as part of the gov't safety net. That would cost maybe 10-20B, not bring down the whole country's health care system.See More

It's not yours and others dilema we have a problem with fixing it's the approach the government is taking Kenneth This audio is a good explanation of the I have with Governments overtaking health care. God Bless and best wishes to you. This... is a speech given by Ronald Reagan in 1961 He speaks about the danger of Socialized Medicine. No one can present a message any better than Ronald Reagan. This is very good.

      • Corey Dennison Yes, Kenneth--this is a Christian nation. You'll find no more generous populace on the planet than Americans. What you fail to see is, our Christianity is NOT defined by our governemnt MANDATING we do something. You should learn about Christianity rather than just grasping at what you think it is--or should be.

      • Corey Dennison And oooo, Socialist countries live a whopping six months longer than we do. Wow. Hey, ask you socialist buddies what their cancer survival rates are. That should be an uncomfortable conversation...

Corey -- just got it! (sometimes I'm a bit $low.) I'm still up in the air about who's gonna pay for this overhaul but i will say the christian thing (at least what I was brought up with) is help each other, help the poor and all that. Like ...what Jesus was teaching. But I still have some questions about how this "gov't" health care is paid for. Wondering how much we're gonna be taxed and whatnot. Though the one thing I just read is this public option thing would make all of us with insurance (sorry kenneth, doesn't include you) -- our premiums supposedly go down cause it wd be in direct competition with the insurance companies. I don't want to change over, I like my insurance just fine-- but I do like that it would my premiums lower. Is that true? If so, that's one good thing.See More

Red State...you say this bill will lead to rationing of care.. but what is going on right now? When we have such high infant mortality rates? The only people who get automatic access to health care in this country are those over 65 who get ...Medicare. So many working poor and children do not have access to health care. Let us do what is right for our future and give everyone access to health care but opening up Medicare to ALL CITIZENS. You can also continue with your private insurance if you want...See More

      • Gina Levy With Medicare, 96% of the money goes to health care, 4% for admin. WIth private insurance, 65% goes to healthcare, 35% goes to insurance company profits and bureaucracy. I think this makes clear why Medicare should be open to all...so we can create real competition. But personally... a

      • Gina Levy In every other Western nation in the world... healthcare is not be a profit center. AMERICA should make health care available to all citizens...just as it is now available to ALL SENIOR CITIZENS. Must we all wait until we are 65 to have decent health care?
        August 24, 2009 at 9:05pm
      • Gina Levy OPEN MEDICARE TO ALL CITIZENS!!
        August 24, 2009 at 9:05pm
      • John Aho WWJD?

Ask yourself who would jesus give healthcare too?

Luke 10:8-9 "And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you. And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you."

So apparently the right wing is now Anti-Jesus. Hope you all go to hell.
