The first time most folks visit this restaurant, it won't likely be for the food, wine or beer. It'll be for the iPads.
Aaron Rouse That is a unique idea but I can't help but wonder if a device with a screen more suited for being touched in that environment exists.

Erika L. Rich Yeah, I'm not so sure an "ipad" is the proper device, but definitely touch screen technology. Perhaps a more "Toughbook" like device is what would be good.

Aaron Rouse I also am surprised that some POS system has not already been designed for this. Or perhaps one exists but they priced it out of the market. Actually, I have seen touch screens for custom food orders once before. It was at a Buc-Eees. You went to the screen and built your sandwich or whatever then submitted the order and got an order number they would call out when ready.

Ed Rich RMS POS systems had a touchscreen order system for customers in the early 2000's. Don't know if they still sell it.
