Obama was wrong to mischaracterize AZ’s immigration law as a human rights problem to the UN. It was bad enough when the AG sued AZ challenging the law, but to take it to the UN as a human rights problem is an embarrassment. Why are we participating in a process where Cuba, Saudi Arabia, and Libya judge our record on human rights? We should withdraw our report and delete any reference to AZ’s immigration law.

      • Marc Adereth All this facebook talk means little - unless a) In Nov you go and vote. b) you keep speaking and debating those who dont see it c) You make sure anyone you know that feels all this crap gets out the vote.
I do not want to see a 52% 53% vote. I want to see 65-70% to 30% To send a statement to both parties. If dont like it you are gone and we can move the momentum quite quickly and substantially

I was so upset when I heard this. I almost feel like we have an administration that doesn't particularly like the people in this country. Everything we do is wrong. Now, ICE is telling us that they are basically not going to deal with ille...gals as long as they haven't committed any crime other than the fact that they came into the country illegally. That's great! We are paying taxes to secure the border and ICE is refusing to do their job. What is that about?See More

I am a college student and my American Judicial Systems class wrote a paper on the Arizona Immigration Law - S.B. 1070. If only some people would take the time to educate themselves before stating their thoughts. S.B. 1070 is a mirror ima...ge of the federal law that is already on the books. If Obama were truly a smart man he would know this already and not punish Arizona for trying to do something about the immigration problem there. See More

It's one stupid move after another, it just doesn't stop. With all the torture and violations of human rights around the world, and he selects AZ. It's time for us to get out of the UN, in fact long overdue. They can take their Diplomati...c Ummunity and shove it!
There is no doubt our President hates this country and is doing all he can to destroy it. He has got to be stopped and the first step is to all vote in November!

      • Linda Webb There are 22 other states thinking about implementing the same type of law as S.B. 1070. What is Obama going to when all of those states jump on the bandwagon and push for their own immigration laws??? Haul them before the U.N. too?? Just goes to prove that Obama didn't have the legislative or executive experience to run this country.

And why isnt there human rights violations against Hillary clinton, Eric Holder and barack Obama by aiding and abedding Mexico's human rights issues. Why do they think they are crossing the border because of their human rights violations. Arizona secede.

IMPEACHMENT...Obama took the oath to protect and defend all 50 states !!!
But Obama wants to control everything and when he couldn't control AZ he found a loop hole by reporting them to the U.N.
Countries with human rights problems don't ha...ve an established government with representation like we do which enables us to govern ourselves.
Another outrage was allowing the Mexican President to speak before our congress and talking about the Arizona Law.

      • David C Welch Let's be proactive here with two sorely needed actions:

        1) We should boycott the UN and withdraw from membership altogether.

        2) Then we should have Dear Leader Obama withdraw from his position as leader of the Free World since his idea of Freedom and Liberty are more closely aligned with Mao and Stalin's than with our Founding Fathers.

        CAN THE CLOWN NOW!
        September 1, 2010 at 7:15am
      • David C Welch State or government jobs are negatives on the economy because the money used for their payroll comes from TAXES; right out of your pocket. Government jobs TAKE from the economy. They do not stimulate the economy and they NEVER grow the economy. Since you seem so critical, Eric, maybe you'd do a better job. Run for governor. Put up or shut up dude.
        September 1, 2010 at 7:30am
      • David C Welch Democrats always want bigger government. I seriously doubt they tried to solve the problem or that their solutions would have helped in the least. It probably was their fault in the first place! The Democrat idea of fixing any social or economic problem is ALWAYS to throw more tax payers' money at it. NEVER WORKS BUD, NEVER.
        September 1, 2010 at 7:33am
      • David C Welch Additionally, Eric, your statement about Governor Pawlenty's ability to govern a state has NO place in this discussion thread. We're talking about how idiotic and detrimental, anti-American and counter productive the President's UN move regarding the AZ law was. Just like a Democrat to try and divert the topic being discussed with ad homonym attacks and irrelevant injections. True to form Dude.
