    City of Bell Gardens property owners with 1 to 4 dwelling saw on average of a 65% increase of their trash collection fees. Coincidentaly, the council voted on Dec 10 2008 to give a new company, Athens a new contract. We usually enter a contract with a new provider because they will offer us a more efficient, effective, &/or cheaper service. This service is not cheaper, I ask how it is more effective or efficient?

      • Cristina Garcia for Good Government Anyone have some insight? The City Manager told me that the bill must be a mistake. Maybe people should take their bills to the city manager and ask them to address that mistake (check your property tax and see the itemized line refuse collection & compare it to your bill the last 3 years).
