It's especially irritating when potential buyers turn out to be deadbeats and cause real trouble for agents especially those trying to make an honest buck around the holidays.

Yes, I suppose, but this advice is more for the buyer's benefit :) Avoid disappointment and delays.

Why would anyone buy at this time?? The prices will be going down another 25% by next fall. I just saw a home on Sandy Hollow for just over 400,000. Realtors in Port are clueless to price values. They just ask their clients how much they want. The market is flooded and wait and see when spring comes. As taxes keep going higher in Port and peoples median income continues to fall so will the prices.

Problem is that realtors in Port have blinders on. Look at the economy and the numbers. Reality is that these middle class houses in Port example like in the terrace were selling for 700,000 plus in the boom. As reality has set in they will be lucky to find someone to qualify for 400,000. Give it a year or two those houses will bring no more that

300,000. Most of these houses on top still need remodeling. Again you do not need a crystal ball as people continus to lose their jobs and have to take paycuts. Reality will set in sorry to burst your bubble. Prices will return to 1990's levels. Remember the taxes on these home start at 12,000. Don'y forget the mortgage qualifications has changed. The median income for Port was 110,000. That will not qualify you for more than a 275,000 motgage. Lets remember there are no savings for a family of four with that income so where does the downpayment come from???
