Perry Farrell Some people find it impossible to tear themselves away from the past. Some people never realized where they were, and simply keep moving. Still others can't wait for the future to present itself. Still others are living in the moment- aware of the past but not tied down and sinking- knowing of the future's promise, but... sharing that promise with fate. Perry Farrell There was someone in my life (Who I did not care for,) that tried to convince me Jane's Addiction had to be "Dark and edgy," because that's what Jane's Addiction IS. His comments struck me as satire. l I have never calculated where the edge is man. That's not, well very edgy is it! Please everyone don't mistake me for ...a happy fool. I understand why people fall into dark depression and want to remain there. The experience of a tragedy sends you off in one of two directions. You can take your tragedy out on everyone else, or you can spend your life trying to get to a better place. I am trotting towards the better place...

Perry Farrell True friendships aren't easy to maintain. People will let you know their best side and do a very good job at hiding the rest of themselves. When it's all said and done; their capacity to love is what you discover in them. They will either leap out larger than life, or prove to be a cheapskate. Have empathy in the later... case, because it really is their problem- not yours...

Perry Farrell I had a coed massage tonight with Etty. I have mixed feelings about massage. On one hand I know that they can make you feel better (I do feel better; less stress in my body.) But I have odd feelings about strangers touching me deeply. It was better with Etty. We spoke (And moaned) and it still was odd to moan in front ...of strange people, but it was a new experience I would recommend to those looking for new kicks.
Perry Farrell I laid my personal Facebook to rest today. It was somewhat emotional as I had to respond to Facebook showing me pictures of people whom I had been in pictures with over the years with a remark above the image "Paul will miss you...Etty will miss you..." I got worked up and couldn't do it. I put it in "Deactivation"- pr...omising to return to it soon (Yes I checked off "Promising to return soon.") I am living in a world I did not ask for.
