There you go again, Ann. You offer no counter-argument or alternative analysis, you just throw insults. Perhaps you should spend some time looking in the mirror.

This nonsense must stop. Quit bullying capitalism. Rep elections in about 400 days will correct this.

Congressman Phil Hare Tired of hearing stories like this. It is time to pass health care reform that forbids insurance companies from denying coverage to Americans for so-called "preexisting conditions."

Christina Turner was drugged and raped by two men in 2002. After taking anti-HIV drugs prescribed by her doctor as a preventative measure, Turner was denied health insurance.

Congressman Phil Hare The public option has majority support......

Source: www.washingtonpost.com
A new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows that support for a government-run health-care plan to compete with private insurers has rebounded from its summertime lows and wins clear majority support from the public.

Here is some more: Whether or not you now have health insurance,
Obama's healthcare bill will cost you dearly. If you
don't have insurance, you will be required to buy it.
The legislation specifies how much you will have to
pay for the coverage before any subsidy kicks in. All... Read More
during the campaign, Obama kept speaking about
affordable coverage. Now it appears that his
definition of "affordable" might be a bit elastic.

For those who think they are not affected by this "tax", Obama care even reaches down to people who earn $22,000 and places a mandate on them to purchase health care. That is partly how Obama plans to keep this plan "deficit neutral".

Lyn--I can definitely feel your pain. The point is it doesn't matter who was on the clock at the time of your community's employment catastrophe--now is the time that counts, and our tax money was pledged to create jobs through the Stimulus Package the Congress crammed down our throats because Obama was in such a hurry. After they signed it, ... Read MoreObama took off to Colorado and waited to sign the final bill--a bill that no one really read! The point: our country was promised growth, new jobs through this bill. Has it happened: Not yet. Hopefully, through retaining programs that you can find, you will be able to find yourself in a more stable situation. Our community over the past 25 years has suffered the same as yours. Somehow, however, the jobs have shifted to other industries. Look to your local leaders and see what they are doing. Be an advocate for Job Creation in your community.

Congressman Phil Hare No more lavish bonuses for financial institutions that taxpayers helped bail out. I am signing a letter to Attorney General Holder calling on him to crack down on these disgraceful practices!

I hope that includes the janitor that was going to receive a "retention" bonus because he is so vital to the financial institution's daily operations (oh, wait..I guess everyone does need toilet paper in the bathroom.)

Seriously, I found out first-hand that some, or a good part of bail out money for banks went for more than bonuses and parties. Instead of helping troubled borrowers they bought up even more unsecured debt in a number of credit card companies. Because of the pending credit card bill they then doubled or tripled interest rates on their new customers... Read More, lowered their credit limits, or dropped those who pay in full. To make things worse, the only way to "opt-out" of the new interest rate is to cancel the credit card which lowers your credit rating so all your other cards do the same thing because they received notice of your lower score. Now they have all this unsecured debt and many have canceled their cards so they aren't spending money (or borrowing) in the economy. Nice move banks! Your actions cut off your customers and hurt the taxpayers who bailed your butts out of your excessive life style in the first place.
