From newspaper reports and fb posts or tweets, it’s almost like, a number of individuals want Public Officers, mores so VIPs to be shamed or insulted publicly to their cheer. It is in bad taste if not borderline sectarianism to expect, an ex-President, Vice President or Prime Minister to be man handled like... a common criminal in town or at the airport.
What the Inspector General exhibited is professionalism at its best at the airport yesterday.
I know for a fact that, a number of VIPs retain a certain level of security clearance or privileges even after leaving office and I know that, even with the downgrading of the PMs or VPs security layers, the two…including former Heads of State shall continue to be accorded some respect and privileges that come with being holders (past) of State Offices. This is a Best Practice the World over.
I am not of any of the above mentioned 3 State Officers tribe but I am in charge of the Systems in this City and I know what Systems and Standards are all about, thank you very much.
This is the Systems Auditor-City(County) of Nairobi.
