There is also a disturbing story today about high levels of methane gas bubbling up in the Arctic. As far as HAARP, Rick, the use of it is not to charge the "ionosphere" as you stated "to protect from cosmic rays during periods of weak sola...r activity". "Cosmic rays in UV and further down the numbers in the electromagnetic spectrum require the ozone layer to protect us from them and HAARP effectively destroys ozone which protects us. We are in the middle of a serious electromagnetic spectrum battle between superpowers. When I was putting together the 2012 theme back in 2001 one of the players I outlined were gravity waves (it did not include a brown dwarf by the way and was mostly based on the solar cycle). This idea years later led me to look at the data... from the other planets only to find, and it was confirmed, they are also warming which allowed one to dispute man as a major factor in Global Warming. The idea is that as the gravity waves pass through it causes particles to oscillate / vibrate and would transfer energy at the same time. An observer would find space time distorted by the effects of periodic spacetime strain. Distances between free objects increase and decrease rhythmically as the wave passes. From the planetary ...perspective, 'The ring of fire' or 'arc of instability' is worth watching; and this series of earthquakes could be
1) just as likely attributed to the current conjunction of Sun and Jupiter, the solar systems' two largest bodies, who were together, and in opposition to the water-ruling Moon, at the time solar activity started to stir up again. Sun & Jupiter are currently in tropical Pisces, the sign of unseen 'collective' tidal forces, magnetism and electrical, radio frequencies in abundance. Whenever these two come together (once a year) the energies can magnify, the results of which can all too easily go beyond anyone's expectations. (Next year the Sun-Jupiter will be in fiery Aries.)
2) We are also smack in the middle of something called the Saturn-Uranus opposition, Saturn = earth, and Uranus = shifts and shock. This change inducing pattern ususally come in threes, but this set of oppositions has five hits, so, as you perceptively put it in the 'change management' dialogue, we're having to think on our feet much more (Saturn in Virgo = Management : Uranus = Change). The next two hits are April and July; and, from what I gather (am not a astro-quake expert - but there are some out there), it appears quake activity IS higher during this opposition, every 45.5-ish years. Interestingly, those who are around this age will also be resonating with this configuration, because they inherently have it. Its a toughie too, because its a bit push-me-pull-you, which must be what planet Earth is experiencing at this time too.

All I have to add: last year, 2009 an entire school of Whales were beached in Kommetjie on the Atlantic coastline of S Africa. 100's of concerned people tried all day to re direct the whales, one by one, back into the ocean. The whales kept... washing back onto shore. Some onto rocks and were badly ripped. It appears that their radar system had malfunctioned/and or been blown apart. Later rumours leaked: the SA Navy in Simonstown had been conducting "tests" with their new sonar equipment. The navy denied responsibility for the beached whales said utilizing low frequency sound-waves, could not cause damage to the whales. The official verdict was the whale leader had lost its way (for no reason whatsoever?) and all the whales had followed their leader. The story ended very badly with the whales being shot (euthanasia!?) by a squad in uniform, and carted away on huge trucks. There were no survivors.

Ushka, Once again this fits in with what I have been hearing about nuclear testing under the ocean. The tzunami that hit Thailand a few years ago on Xmas, was just after France was testing their explosives and apparently it was in line with... the tutonic earth plates. These experiments and testing go on without our knowledge and under the ocean it will have devistating affects. Whales have very high frequency hearing and any form of testing could have this affect. DK, namaste; the Socratic dialogue is highly appreciated. Yet, I am not intrigued by all the perspectives that are merely diagnosing crisis. The question is WHAT can we do? Are we all trapped in the "Cassandra syndrome" feeling isolated, ...too small and inadequate to make a shift in the fat powerful status quo structurally in place? There is no way we can worm our way out of responsibility. Everything is connected in the circle of life, the visible and the invisible.
Whatever we do to nature effects the entire genome or matrix. Sacred geometry of creation , a resonant sound frequency, encompasses all from the lightest to the darkest. The question is what CAN WE DO to make things "intrinsically good" and return to the natural harmonic blueprint. The path beyond technology, beyond GM, NASA, HAARP, Chemtrails, et al. Allow me to preface this in that I am to no degree a geological expert, or even a novice.

It's just that, in terms of Western Cana...da/U.S., in looking at the Pacific tectonic plate,

there appears to be a fairly consistent occurrence of "trenches" roughly along it's outer edges, (overlaid by the "ring of fire") except, for a rather significant distance along the Canada/U.S. western coast.

[I had to do a quick investigation].. there is a rather convoluted mass of plate movements in that general area compared to the vast majority of the world.

However the direction of plate movements in that area may be different from areas where trenches have formed. (Parallel verses convergent?) Which may be the reason a trench didn't form?

I don't know.. it just seemed that if a trench is an indication, in part, of a relief of pressure and/or built up tectonic tension, then why has there not been a similar release indicated by a trench of some form along the Western coast? Again, perhaps experts have already explained this as being due to dissimilar directional forces at work.

I imagine it's been a large number of years since the trenches originally formed.. and if one hasn't formed along the Western coastline yet.. I'm just thinking there might be some tremendously large potential energy being stored up along it.. which might lead to a heck of a jolt should it ever "give way".

Another thought.. a lot of people say a polar shift is due "soon".. I wonder if that could trigger movement along the coast?

I hope that explains my wonderment a bit.

Short answer: Why everywhere else and not along that stretch? ;) And what happens if a trench finally does begin to form? Nothing special, it just "stuck out" to me that there wasn't one there.

They crazy British conspiracy theorist David Ickes says a fortune teller told him that we were entering a period of extreme seismic activity because we had pumped so much oil out of the ground that the Earth's crust had become detached in l...arge areas from the surface of the planet. I think that this is complete and utter hogwash, i.e. the own recycled wastewater of watching a lot of dirty hogs. there have always been a lot of earthquakes, there's a lot of seismic activity. But until the last 50 years there wasn't as much telecommunications and seismic recording equipment everywhere. Now we know what a hopping joint our little planet is.

HAARP, on the other hand, I don't really understand? But I know that, by reports I have read by petroleum engineers, is an extremely handy tool for locating petroleum deposits, and functioning like a planetary MRI machine to locate highly accurately where all of the important and strategic minerals are? Correct me if I'm wrong. I hope that it is used in a safe then thoughtful and considerate manner, because the long-term effects of extreme forms of electromagnetic radiation have not been proven as conclusively safe for living organisms? Human beings, like Chinese medicine has asserted for centuries are delicate bioelectrical units that have natural harmonic frequencies that can get out of whack. Why not planets too? I would like it if an international group of scientists were allowed to analyze it as an instrument, its usage history, and its data streams from its experiments to reassure us all that it is a safe, harmless and beneficial technology? and put to rest these wild rumors that it has been switched on prior to most of the largest earthquakes that have occurred around the world in recent years. These are the wild claims of a bad James Bond movie villain? however there is much to much secrecy that surrounds legitimate technology that can be weaponized for military applications.
