My memory trick has never failed me. It can be used two way based on ancient or current understanding of learning.

The first method is how ancient orators remembered their lengthy speeches. They gave each pillar of a building like the Part...henon and attributed a point to it. You can easily do it to.

Chunk your points or key messages and attribute them to 3 pillars, now visualise each pillar having three people standing beside the pillars. Place a key message on each pillar and give each person a supporting evidence. Now when you move through your speech, move through your memory images (each pillar and person) and you will have a point of reference.

Now we have slidedecks to support our arguments. And each slide, should support one idea. Current understanding is that each slide should be an image or a stringent amount of text. Do you see where I'm going -- you just need to know the idea behind each image and speak to it. No more memorizing speeches but comfortable, conversational speaking.
