Three Subjects shot in Labadieville - Monday, August 23, 2010





- Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports that on Saturday, August 21, 2010,
at approximately 10:26PM, APSO Dispatchers received a 911 call
concerning a disturbance at the Country Estates Trailer Park in the 2400
Block of Hwy 308 in Labadieville. As deputies were responding to the
complaint, dispatchers began receiving additional calls concerning a
shooting at the same location. Upon arrival, at the trailer park
deputies discovered three gunshot victims who were identified as Joshua
Edmond 19, Christopher Tyler 21, and Nichol Tyler 19. The victims
reported that minutes earlier they were standing outside of their
residence talking when they were approached by a neighbor, Lynell Allen
28, who started a physical altercation with Edmond. Edmond defended
himself resulting in Lynell Allen being thrown to the ground. After the
altercation, Lynell left and walk to her mobile home which is located a
short distance from the victim's residence. Shortly thereafter
Lynell returned accompanied by her two brothers Brock Mclaughlin 22 and
Lionel Allen 27. After a brief verbal confrontation Lynell and her
brothers walked back to her residence. Within minutes,
Mclaughlin and Lionel Allen emerged from the residence and returned to
where the victims' were standing. At this time Mclaughlin produced a
sawed off 12ga shotgun and fired twice at the victims striking Edmond
and Christopher Tyler in the arm and Nichol Tyler in the leg. Mclaughlin
and Lionel Allen then fled from the trailer park on foot.The victims
were subsequently transported to Thibodaux Regional Medical Center where
they were treated and released. Deputies
located Lynell Allen at her residence and placed her under arrest for
Distubing the Peace by fighting and Simple Battery on Edmond. Mclaughlin
and Lionel Allen remain at large. Both subjects have listed addresses
in the Thibodaux and Houma areas.Arrest warrants will be obtained for
Mclaughlin and Lionel Allen for three counts of Attempted First Degree
Murder.
