Has anyone heard the 8000 credit is extended for two months. Another realtor said he heard it from a few mortgage brokers.

The proposal is from Dodd and Isakson and to extend it until next June with a more broad range of qualifiers, i.e. dropping the 1st time buyer as the only candidate ... we'll see within the next few weeks... only 5 weeks remaining on this one ...

Best thing that has been done in a long time. We NEED it to be longer.

That's the MILLION dollar question in real estate right now "Will the $8000 tax credit for first-time homebuyers be extended? Increased? While there is talk of the credit being extended and possibly increased to $15K, at this point these are ALL unknowns. As Don stated, we'll see in 5 weeks.

with the IRS investigating fraud cases in the 8000 stimulus they may not extend it. I just hope that they can put better guidelines and help first time home buyers stimulate the economy

REALTORS PLEASE EMAIL Humane Society of America that they start enforce/petition 55+ communities in Florida to ALLOW pets in EVERY associated community!
It is a disaster that elderly when they have to downsize from a singe family house to a condo/villa/townhouse, they are PROHIBITED having pets with them.
It is ridiculous! ...

Here is my letter to HSofAmerica:
Good Afternoon,
I am a realtor in Tampa Bay, Florida. It came to my attention over and over again, that pets are virtually blocked from being with their owners when they purchase into a condominium/villa/townhous
e communities. It is a gut-wrenching situation as particularly 55+ communities EXCLUDE pets ownership.
Currently, I deal with my elderly client who has a sweet 10 y old female dog after her deceased son. She has to downsize from a single family home into a community living - condo/villa style.MANY, if NOT MAJORITY, of 55+ communities in Florida prohibit having pets.
It is not only an emotional distress, but simply blocking adoption of many shelter pets.
Our retirees have time and stamina to take care of animals, who in return repay in psychological sphere to their care-takers.
PLEASE address this matter on your website and spread the news, spread letter urging condo associations allowing pets.
If you need to contact me, please do:
