This sketchbook is a 17.2 x 12 cm, leather, Cavallini (Italian) book. I have had 3 Cavallini books in my life and although they are pricy, they have been my favorites: being hardwearing and beautiful. This book has survived hiking, sailing and countless other daily tragedies for a paper construction and has done so without harming the pictures within it unduly! I love the design with the wrap around leather flap and cord as well as the marble sided pages that are a pale cream and good textured on the inside. I have always highly recommended this make – though this size is not my favorite (and the size up is too pricy to be worth it), however, this adds an intimate feel to the sketches and facilitates furtive sketching in public places!
