We're heading out on Dec. 5th. I'm so excited to see the mountains again :)

One of my favorites. Swam in the pond below the falls there once. Had an encounter with a copperhead there who was blocking the path. My favorite trip there was when the trail was in full bloom with rhododendrons or was it laurel?

My family and I will be there in a few weeks! The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is our favorite place to visit!

Growing up in the foothills of the Smokey's I can say for sure that it is a truly beautiful place. I miss my mountains!

Where is Spruce Flat Falls?

Wow, so beautiful. I've never lived in the Smokies but it feels like home there more than anywhere else. :-) Wish I was there now.

Spruce Flat Falls is near Tremont.

I was there two week ago. It is beautiful.

we just came back from the smoky's on the 2nd, we weren't able to do the trails though as I have just had my right knee replaced (i'm 34!!) Now I really envious, great shot!

spruce flats falls trail is right by the tremont center. it's an easy walk and well worth it.

Thanks for sharing... I've been coming to the Smokies for years and have never hiked this waterfall. I'll be sure to next trip.
