New Digs for a Lincoln Park Zoo Favorite—Young white-cheeked gibbon Kien Nhan is now at Zoo New England’s Stone Zoo, where he was introduced to a female named Iggy a few weeks ago. (Wild male gibbons leave their natal group at this age.) Both Kien Nhan and Iggy are part of the White-cheeked Gibbon Species Survival Plan®, a cooperative, nationwide program managed by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums designed to maintain a genetically diverse and demographically stable zoo population.
