One of the main reason for choosing Colorado College or it chose me was seeing Stephen Spickard Clas of '69 on College Bowl with Jim Bailey. The long hair frighten America's mothers and there was great pressure from the school and producers to cut it. Steve stood up and resisted. It seems rather tame today but back then America was "Hairphobic". Picture from the colelction of Chronicler Steve Spickard.

The guy on the far right is Steve Spickard CC'69 who was a housemate of mines at the Weber Street House. Check out my old CC photos and our Reunion stuff, i.e. Woostock 09 and Bandaloop.
