This morning I went to a nearby beach in search of some migrating shorebirds. There is a Black Tern that is turning in to something of a nemesis for me. By that I mean, I can see them, but have yet to get a really nice shot of one. My luck didn't change in that regard today, but I did manage to get this Sandwich Tern. If it appears that I am on the wave with the tern, its because I was... It is always important to be at eye level and being in the water and shooting back towards shore will often give an unusual perspective. Both of those things make a nice image of a rather common species.

This time of the year the water in the bay is about 85 so it wasn't as if was a hardship. And I saw dolphins and a manatee! All and all a nice morning.
