On behalf of everyone at Tomorrows Children’s Fund, we are deeply saddened by the recent passing of our very good friend Bobby Thomson. Bobby was a huge supporter for TCF and raised incredible awareness and funds for our cause. Bobby was the man who hit the most famous home run in baseball, known as “The Shot Heard Round The World.” Thomson’s “shot heard ’round the world” capped a best-of-three playoff and the Giants’ miracle comeback to win the 1951 National League pennant over the Dodgers. Bobby died Monday night at his home in Savannah, Georgia, he was 86. He will be deeply missed by all his friends at TCF.
