I am Nicholas Gordon from England UK. As you are probably already aware, countrysports (hunting,shooting, fishing etc) and the country way of life is under major threat in the UK. The hunting of wild mammals with dogs has already been banned and shooting is now well `in the firing line` along with most aspects of the traditional rural life.

My first novel, The Shrew; published largely at my own expense outlines many of the problems that game shooting in the UK currently faces aswell as the general pressure on the countryside from property developers and others that care little for the wildlife, people and sports of rural Britain.

The book is a crime/mystery/thriller with a real rural flavour and provides a great insight into the plight of game shooting in the UK and also describes its past glories on the great estates.
