    • Jared Morrow It was nice to see that it had "mellow" magna traction, because I was put off when I first heard it had magna traction. I was under the impression it would be of the same level as the libtech stuff, which is way over the top.

    • Jones Snowboards Jared,
I felt the same way. I was always impressed with the grip but I have been trying to mellow it out a little bit. We tried a lot of stuff at Rossi and ran out of time so we went with tradtional Magna Traction. i started over with the Flagship and the longer mellower bumps made the difference.

    • Russell Cunningham I agree about the edge bumps. I'm just now starting to realize that mellow may actually does make a difference. Along with the blunted shape and rocker of the Solution, I think it's the best steeps/hard snow gripping board I've been on. Because of rocker and mellow mag, the effective amount of egde grabbing the snow seems to be much higher on this board.

    • Jared Morrow Jeremy, it is refreshing to hear you say that. I always felt I was alone in my distaste of MT and the unnatural (almost unpredictable) grip it had at times. Since I picked up a NS Heritage right before they went to MT, I'll have to wait on a new ride, but if you guys demo in Colorado, I'll surely stop in and give it another run or 5.
