As ordered by Governor McDonnell, the Virginia flag will be flown at half-staff on campus and across the commonwealth today in memory of Rocky Mount Fire Chief and Vice Mayor Posey Dillon, Rocky Mount Firefighter William Daniel Altice, and Tazewell County Deputy Shawn Hess, who gave their lives in the line of duty.
