Around 250 mares and foals will play the key roles at the Dansk Varmblod PAVO Elite Show 2010 taking place at Vilhelmsborg on September 10-12.
Foals and filliesThe 40 foals are divided into four categories of dressage fillies/colts and jumping fillies/colts, and 2-3 from each category are selected for the champion ring. Many of these high quality foals will be for sale at the Elite Foal Auction Saturday night.The group of 2-year-old fillies consists of 24 dressage and 14 jumper fillies. Like the foals these young mares have all been selected at regional shows to compete at the national final at Vilhelmsborg where two champions will be proclaimed – a dressage champion and a jumper champion.The current 6-year-old dressage world champion UNO Donna Unique was in the finale at the Dansk Varmblod Elite Show as a foal, again as a 2-year-old filly and became the supreme dressage champion as a 3-year-old mare.
