PEOPLE COMING FROM SLASHDOT: The more than $100 of music which Microsoft has stolen was NOT in the form of a Zune Pass. I've never used Zune Pass ... the service doesn't appeal to me at all.
This is one of the many reasons I dumped the Zune. Of the 15 or so albums I purchased there, 9 of them are no longer available and that's money out the window.
Among the other reasons:
- The Zune driver is buggy as hell and will fail to detect my Zune unless I cleanly reboot.
- Starting Zune results in my entire machine locking up for 25 seconds (except the mouse).
- Exiting Zune results in my entire machine locking up for 25 seconds (except the mouse).
