Take a look at this video of a Rufous Bristlebird vs Blue-tongue Lizard.

Ranger Peter came across this scene along a track to Eagle Rock Marine Sanctuary in Aireys Inlet. He was able to get fairly close as neither the bristlebird nor the blue-tongue were interested in his presence. They were more focused on each other.

We assume the bristlebird was trying to defend its nest from the lizard as their nests are built close to the ground in tussocks or low shrubs.
