The truth lies with the birth of 'Hannigans', and now 'Hannigans online' for all you lucky national and global sods. What we know is t...his: back at the tail end of 1991 Hannigans was born. It was the one and only reason to come to Coventry to shop. The chosen shop itself, had its fair share of history attached to its bricks and mortor. This is the place the Specials bought their suits and attire, Mr Pete Waterman had his first record shop, 'Soul Hole' in the basement, and as from 91, the history continued. Once bitten forever smitten? Christ on a mountain bike, yes. Ever since those heady days Hannigans has been marching sideways and backwards like a one-legged drunk at an arse-kicking contest. Free from the traditional constraints of the Retail and Fashion business (ie bullshit, marketing spends, bullshit, egos , bullshit and cocaine addictions) the subsequent years saw Hannigans throw forth fashion trends to a city. Was it fun? By gum it was! Since those hazy days of 1991 the good ship Hannigans has ploughed valiantly through the independent seas. Bold of stern and billowing of sail. But better still, spring 2008 saw Hannigans take this wonder contained into four walls, three floors and a roof and have now very kindly taken it to the masses with this very website.
