Portland Water Bureau just realized that the 115th birthday of Bull Run water is coming up soon! (1-2-10)! Wow. 115 years!

Okay, so this isn't a physical community event, but an important anniversary date that you should be aware of!
On, January 2, 1895, Bull Run water flowed through Conduit #1 into the city for the first time ever! This day marks the 115th anniversary of that monumental occassion.
The first drink was given to Governor Penno...yer, who declared, "No body!" after downing his first glass.
That year public health officials noted an enormous decrease in typhoid fever cases.
