hey folks, just wanted to let you know of an upcoming (free!) concert i'm playing in next week with the absolutely fantastic band Dynamo Coléoptera. in fact, even if i wasn't playing with the band, i would strongly recommend the show. there's crazy awesome music, costumes, adancer, projections... wild stuff. it's very ...hard to describe what the music is like, but it's sort of a dramatic mix of experimental pop/rock sounds, japanese traditional music influences, and utter absurdity. very much so a kitchen-sink approach to instrumentation. i am playing keyboards (including the casio vl-1 tone!) and saxophone on just 3 tunes but i urge you to check out the show/band regardless.

allo à tous, je vous écris pour vous laisser savoir d'un concert (gratuit!) la semaine prochaine que je joue avec le band absolument fantastique par le nom de Dynamo Coléoptera. enfin, même si je ne jouais pas avec le band, je conseillerai le show. la musique est folle et incroyable, il y a des costumes, une danseuse, ...des projections... intense. c'est difficile à donner une description du musique, mais c'est comme une mix dramatique de rock/pop experimental,musique japonaise traditionelle et absurdités complet. chance égale à entendre quelqu'un jouer une casserole que d'entendre un violoncelle. je joue les claviers (incluant le casio vl-1 tone!) et saxophone sur juste 3 tounes mais je vous conseille d'aller voir le concert quand même.

c'est un concert d'après-midi, mais je pense qu'il y a des sièges limités, alors venez tot pour vous guarantir une place!

is playing again next week, co-hosting the organ jam from July 6th-12th (Monday-Sunday). The COJQ (and me) will be there on the 7th, 9th, and 11th, with the first set at 10:30 and the jam opening up afterwards. Vanessa Rodrigues' band (with a very similar lineup) will be hosting the other nights.

Vincent Stephen-Ong Hey folks, the annual organ jam is here again, for the final 5 days of the festival, at Brutopia, in the bistro. I'll be hosting with Martin K. Peterson's band on the Thursday the 3rd and Saturday the 5th. The other nights feature Vanessa Rodrigues' fine group manning the bandstand. Come check it out and bring your instruments!
