hmmm...I have to disagree with the article...my "kid" has totally changed her food preferences since turning 2. She was "cultivated" on nothing but healthy foods and now she refuses many of the foods that she previously loved. All kids are different and a study is just a study. I'm not giving up though. I keep offering healthy foods and I am ... See Morenot into filling her full of junk. So goes a parent's "battle". She is healthy and somehow manages to survive on the 3 bites of food she eats per day...(if you are a parent, it is likely you can relate to that exaggeration). I am not knocking this product because the product is not mentioned in this article.

I know from my experience ALL my childrens' food preferences are a refelction of my diet. I did the best I could to eat as healthy as possible during all four pregnancies, plus I don't crave sweets. However, I did develop a raging sweet tooth with my oldest daughter which drove me nuts. She has such a sweet tooth, but does eat well. I just have to ... See Morehelp her discipline her habits. My youngest daughter was raised mostly on Mediterranean from a particluar restaurant & now I constantly have to make Mediterranean or take her to that restaurant. Since Juice Plus+, they haven't notice I've removed the candies & bad snacks. Nor do they complain that their snack variety has changed to fresh fruit/veggies & gluten-free products (cereals, crackers, etc), & limited meats. I think it's safe to say we simply crave what we know.

Stacie - just curious....is your child eating Juice Plus? Dr. William Sears, Pediatrician, talks about the metabolic programming that happens when a child is eating JP+ - their body craves more of what it's getting through JP+....worked wonders for my kids! They started eating JP+ at 13 months and 2 1/2 years and it totally changed and broadened their tastes for fruits and veggies - they like just about any fruit or veggie now at 4 and 6 years old. We've all been eating JP+ for over 3 years.

@Tammy...actually no, we do not use the product, but we are considering it. I have always eaten healthy and provided healthy selections for my daughter. She has her favorites, but had a much broader appetite for veggies when she was younger. Her tastes have changed. I continue to offer her a variety of (healthy) flavors. Fruits are not so much... See More an issue, as she loves fruit. Maybe it is her age...she would much rather be playing and creating than sitting down to eat ;0) What products do you recommend specifically?

Stacie - the orchard and garden blend new chewables would be awesome for her. Contains 15 raw fruits and veggies and 2 whole grains and tastes like a snack! And a great trick for getting veggies into grazers is to fill a muffin tin tray with carrot sticks, celery sticks, small bits of broccoli or whatever and provide dips like ranch dressing, ... See Morehummus, etc. Dr. Sears says kids are meant to be grazers and don't want to sit long to eat, but if you fill up a muffin tin tray and place it on the coffee table so kids can nibble while they play, after a while the tray will be empty....we have used it and our kids love it! Good luck! :)

Yes, when you introduce fruits and veggies to them. Juiceplus gummies are easy to cut up in little pieces for toddlers. Are you on Juiceplus too? You could sprinkle a third of a orchard (fruit)and garden(veggie) capsule onto your child's food or in their juice or milk. I know someone that did that for her autistic child so that he would get more nutrition.
