Perdue mentioned twice recently that the state could “stick a straw in
the river” — above or below Lanier and beyond federal jurisdiction — if
access to the lake is restricted. He also said tapping the Tennessee
River, including some of its hea...dwaters in northwest Georgia, is “a
very legitimate issue.”

That means the Little T isn't off limits either!

Little Tennessee Watershed Association The National Organic Initiative is being offered to enable organic farmers to participate in the Natural Resources Conservation Service's (NRCS) Environmental Quality Incentives Program. NRCS is providing 50 million dollars nationwide during 2009 for this initiative.
