Stephen C. Meyer As part of it's Darwin Debaates series of events in southern California, the AFA recently hosted a premiere at USC of Darwin's Dilemma, based in part on Signature in the Cell. On November 30, Dr. Meyer will participate in another of that series of events -- he will debate Michael Shermer of Skeptic magazine. Details forthcoming.

“I don’t believe in this intelligent design stuff,” one attendee whispered; another gently poked fun at the idea of humans popping out of a random interaction of atoms. Even in today’s modern world, the intimate room was a clear display of the debate raised since Darwin first published The Origin of...

Mr. Shermer is a first rate great skeptic..... unless the issue he needs to be skeptical about threatens his worldview. I cant wait to hear about all the evolutionists who dont watch the movie but criticize it anyway for being unscientific creationist lies.

Stephen C. Meyer A Colorado conference this weekend that will be featuring Dr. Meyer, Dr. David Berlinski, Dr. Michael Behe and Dr. John West has been attacked, literally. Their website was hacked and the pages deleted

A Colorado group is the target of malicious computer hackers in what appears to be a coordinated attempt to suppress information about an upcoming conference on Darwin and intelligent design in Colorado.

I saw the Darwin’s Dilemma tonight at MBC in Wash DC, good work! I bought a copy of Signature in the Cell, when you were here, looking forward to checking out the Discussion Guide for the Devil's Delusion. Would love to see both you and David Berlinski come back to MBC when you get a chance.

People who actually whine about studies that suggest that neo-Darwinism is wrong, or has some flaws, simply aren't open minded. You don't have to be a supporter of any specific religion to have qualms with the theory. It's ridiculous that people actually think that if you disagree with the theory you're a crazed maniac who cannot think properly. I ... See Morepersonally have some issues with the theory, even without a religious basis behind it. I mean, how can one seriously postulate that mankind, and especially the DNA coding within all organisms, came about purely by randomness coupled with natural selection? It just doesn't make sense. Sure, you could just say there's been enough time and postulate some pre-existing happening prior to the beginning of the known physical universe (you might say something happened and evolved before the beginning of the universe that passed its accidental creation of the DNA code into the fabric of this universe) , but that would be relying on less philosophical common sense and logic than it would take to believe in a designer of the universe and/or life on Earth. I mean, we know that designers design, even over time as they make new discoveries, but we hardly know of chancing accomplishing anything significant.

The Roman Catholic church tried to ban Galileo's writings. That plan backfired. Too bad the California Science Center isn't up on their history. Guess they'll learn the hard way that censorship doesn't stop ideas. What fools.
