The super stretchy bind off is a bit stretched out looking when not worn. It does however work great for the edges of hats and things that are really stretched while worn.

Our thought is that if another knitter did this test, they might get different results. At least one other knitter we know did a similar test, and her results were almost reverse! Since every knitter has their own gauge and also knits a bit differently, this leads to differing elasticities with varied bind offs. It's a useful test to understand which bind-off one does most flexibly and has the most pleasing appearance - especially for various kinds of hems, cuffs and necklines!
